Starting A Blog For Archery

hello guys zaher here. i am starting this blog to record my adventures, experiences, journeys, rants, and everything else archery related. it is also a diary of some sort. if you guys share the same love for this fun (and relaxing) sport, do drop by often and have a read!

well i first started archery back when i was in secondary school, but back then i was shooting for fun and did not get any kick out of it since i cant seem to hit the target anyhow. didnt care much then. it all came back last year when a friend asked if i was interested in archery and it was just like that! i researched like crazy and bought myself a martin jaguar bow, my first bow.

it was a good bow, and i spent around half a year shooting it. then after my last archery trip to fraser's hill (you can look that up guys, its a nice place to go) i decided to upgrade to a proper target recurve bow.. a cartel riser with sf limbs and other accessories. i would say an intermediate setup given my skill level.

here comes the frustration. i was aiming high, what i mean is i wanted to compete, and a once a week practice can never quite cut it for recurve shooters. now i was contemplating a shift to compound bows - which i did. got myself a pse phenom. also an beginner/intermediate setup if you ask me, and 2 weeks on now.

it was a good decision (as of now). my form practice from my recurve times helped me to shoot better with the compound, and my friend who helped me set up the bow did it so well i was shooting away happily with it without any problem!

well that's that. i think that would do for an initial post. next time i hope there will be pictures and videos too. add my facebook Zaheer Firdausov and my twitter/instagram @zeepherdaus. bye!
